Antigen Preparation
A synthetic peptide MHGDTPTLHEYMLDLQPETT corresponding to the N-terminus of human papillomavirus type 16.
Background
"The strain of Human papilloma virus 16 (HPV16 or E7 protein) is directly linked to cervical cancer and can be diagnosed with a colposcopy and biopsy. Human papilloma virus is one of the most common causes of sexually transmitted infection in the world. E7 protein has transforming and trans-activating activities that are known to disrupt the function of host retinoblastoma protein (Rb1). E6 is a transcriptional trans-activator with transforming activities targeting p53 tumor suppressor. HPV16, in comparison to HPV types 6 and 11, is more often associated with malignant genital cancers in humans. This antibody was raised in rabbit against protein E7 of human papillomavirus type 16 (HPV16) which is mainly used for research on sexually-transmitted diseases and gynecology tumors."
PURIFICATION
The Rabbit IgG is purified by Epitope Affinity Purification
SPECIFICITY
This antibody recognizes ~40 kDa of HPV16/E7-GST recombinant protein. The other species are not tested.
FORMULATION
This affinity purified antibody is supplied in sterile Phosphatebuffered saline (pH7.2) containing antibody stabilizer
STORAGE
The antibodies are stable for 24 months from date of receipt when stored at –20oC to –70oC. The antibodies can be stored at 2oC-8oC for three month without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freezing-thawing cycles.
