Antigen Preparation
"A synthetic peptide around the epitope PGL ER-*S-PGE P at the phosphorylation site serine 47. It is identical among human, mice and rat."
Background
"SIRTs belongs to sirtuin family proteins. The human homologs, which include SIRT1-7, are divided into four main branches: SIRT1-3 are class I, SIRT4 is class II, SIRT5 is class III and SIRT6-7 are class IV. SIRT1 is a member of the sirtuin family of proteins, homologs to the yeast Sir2 protein. Members of the sirtuin family are characterized by a sirtuin core domain and grouped into four classes. SIRT1 is highly expressed in heart, brain and skeletal muscle, with low expression in lung and placenta. Phosphorylation of SIRT1 regulates the p53-dependent DNA damage response pathway."
