Antigen Preparation
A synthetic peptide derived from a portion of 240-290 aa from the internal sequence of human PINK1 protein. This sequence is identical among rat and mouse.
Background
"The PINK1 (PTEN induced kinase 1) is a serine/threonine protein kinase that localizes to mitochondria. It is thought to protect cells from stress-induced mitochondrial dysfunction. It is considered as a mitochondrial gatekeeper which is able to sense the presence of healthy or damaged mitochondria. It protects cells from stress-induced mitochondrial dysfunction. Mutations in this gene cause one form of autosomal recessive early-onset Parkinson disease. Mutations in this gene cause one form of autosomal recessive early-onset Parkinson disease. This protein is ubiquitous expression in testis, brain and other tissues."
PURIFICATION
The Rabbit IgG is purified by Epitope Affinity Purification
|
SPECIFICITY
"This antibody recognizes human PINK1 protein. It cross reacts to human, mice and rat."
|
FORMULATION
This affinity purified antibody is supplied in sterile Phosphatebuffered saline (pH7.2) containing antibody stabilizer
|
STORAGE
The antibodies are stable for 24 months from date of receipt when stored at –20oC to –70oC. The antibodies can be stored at 2oC-8oC for three month without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freezing-thawing cycles.
