Antigen Preparation
"A synthetic peptide derived from 100aa-300aa of Human PCSK9 protein. This sequence is identical among human, rat, mouse, gorilla, etc."
Background
"Proprotein convertase subtilisin/kexin type 9 (PCSK9) is a member of the serine protease family with a critical role in cholesterol metabolism by controlling the levels of low density lipoprotein (LDL) particles that circulate in the bloodstream. Mutation in the PCSK9 gene is associated with autosomal dominant hypercholesterolemia which is characterized by an increase in LDL cholesterol levels. PCSK9 is expressed in various tissues such as liver, kidney, lung, spleen, etc. Human PCSK9 precursor is 692 aa protein with 74kDa molecular weight. Its mature form has molecular weight ranging of 62-66 kDa in the tissues."
PURIFICATION
The Rabbit IgG is purified by Epitope Affinity Purification
|
SPECIFICITY
This antibody recognizes ~74 kDa of human PCSK9 protein. It also reacts with mouse and rat. The other species are not tested.
|
FORMULATION
This affinity purified antibody is supplied in sterile Phosphatebuffered saline (pH7.2) containing antibody stabilizer
|
STORAGE
The antibodies are stable for 24 months from date of receipt when stored at –20oC to –70oC. The antibodies can be stored at 2oC-8oC for three month without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freezing-thawing cycles.
