Antigen Preparation
A synthetic peptide derived from C-terminus of NFkBp100/p52.
Background
"NF-κB, nuclear factor kappa-light-chain-enhancer of activated B cells is a protein complex that controls cytokine production, transcription of DNA, and cell survival. The protein can function both as a transcriptional activator or repressor depending on its dimerization partner. NF-κB plays a key role in regulating the immune response to infection. NF-κB is a major transcription factor that regulates genes responsible for both the innate and adaptive immune response. This protein is a subunit of the transcription factor complex nuclear factor-kappa-B. The p100 full-length protein is co-translationally processed into a p52 active form."
