Antigen Preparation
A recombinant protein of human CD161
Background
"CD161, also called KLRB1, is a type II transmembrane glycoprotein, It contains an extracellular domain with several motifs characteristic of C-type lectins, a transmembrane domain, and a cytoplasmic domain. It is expressed as a 40-44 kD homodimer. CD161 is expressed on a majority of NK cells, NKT cells, and subsets of peripheral T cells and CD3+ thymocytes. It may be involved in the regulation of NK cell function."
