Antigen Preparation
A recombinant protein derived from extracellular domain (22-182aa) was used as an immunogen.
Background
"The CD8 antigen is a cell surface glycoprotein found on majority of cytotoxic T lymphocytes, thymocytes and some peripheral blood T cells. It mediates efficient cell-cell interactions within the immune system. CD8 antigen acts as a coreceptor with the T-cell receptor on the T lymphocyte to recognize antigens displayed by an antigen presenting cell in the context of class I MHC molecules. Studies show that different antibodies against human CD8 exert opposite effects on MHC-peptide tetramer binding to the TCR: tetramer staining was enhanced by OKT8 antibody, while it was blocked with SK1 antibody. CD8a is a critical coreceptor of cytotoxic T cells."
PURIFICATION
The mouse IgG is purified by Protein A-Affinity Chromatography according to Isotyping
|
SPECIFICITY
This antibody recognizes human CD8 protein. The other species are not tested.
|
FORMULATION
This affinity purified antibody is supplied in sterile Phosphatebuffered saline (pH7.2) containing antibody stabilizer
|
STORAGE
The antibodies are stable for 24 months from date of receipt when stored at –20oC to –70oC. The antibodies can be stored at 2oC-8oC for three month without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freezing-thawing cycles.
