Antigen Preparation
"A synthetic peptide next to the C-terminus of HYOU1 protein. This sequence is identical to rat, mouse, human and dog, bovine and horse origins."
Background
"The Hypoxia up-regulated 1 (HYOU1) protein belongs to the heat shock protein 70 family. It plays an important role in protein folding and secretion in the endoplasmic reticulum (ER). This protein is involved in stress-dependent induction, resulting in the accumulation of this protein in the ER under hypoxic conditions. It also has been shown to be up-regulated in tumors, especially in breast tumors, and thus it is associated with tumor invasiveness. "
