Antigen Preparation
"A synthetic peptide corresponding to C-terminal of human cyclin G1. This sequence is identical to human, mouse and rat."
Background
"The eukaryotic cell cycle is governed by cyclin-dependent protein kinases (CDKs) whose activities are regulated by cyclins and CDK inhibitors. The Cyclin G contains a typical N terminal cyclin box and a carboxy terminal domain sequence homologous to the tyrosine phosphorylation site of the epidermal growth factor receptor. Cyclin G2 shares 53% amino acid sequence identity with cyclin G1. Peak expression of cyclin G2 is seen in late S phase, as opposed to cyclin G1 expression. It is p53-responsive gene that the transcriptional activation of Cyclin G1 can be induced by tumor protein p53. "
